ABCFT Resolution in support of UTLA Strike

Dear ABCFT Members,

At yesterday's monthly ABCFT Site Representative meeting, there was a unanimous vote of approval for a resolution in support of the striking United Teachers of Los Angeles who are set to STRIKE this Monday, January 14th. This is a historical job action that UTLA has prepared for with the community for over twenty-two months focusing on class sizes, nurses, mental health, salary, health care, and charter school accountability. 

Here are the ways you can support your fellow sisters and brothers:

1. Wear Red for Ed on Monday, Jan. 14th and post your photos online using #RedForEd #UTLAStrong #WeAreLA.

2. Make a contribution to support the strike by donating here--> the Los Angeles Teacher/Parent Strike Solidarity Fund

3. Add your name and a personal message to the educators leading this fight in their communities, and the California Teachers Association will deliver it.

5.   Send a message to LAUSD Superintendent Austin Beutner right now and urge him to quit stalling and reach an agreement with L.A.’s educators.
